What is Welcome to Elderfield?

Welcome to Elderfield is a cozy horror farming RPG from solo developer Chris Cote, published by Kwalee. You inherit farm work in a secluded town where the abnormal is normal: eldritch beings watch over you, the local news grows stranger by the day, and those who wander in rarely find a reason — or option — to leave.

The game blends life-sim routines — farming, fishing, mining, cooking, and befriending or marrying townsfolk — with turn-based combat, dice-driven luck, and Lovecraftian mysteries. Its hand-drawn, horror manga-inspired art and dark lofi soundtrack by Dated give the town its unsettling charm.
